trick r treat

Last night, after going trick-or-treating, we watched Trick r Treat. Overall, it was ok, but I had much higher expectations based on many of the reviews. The film is basically a collection of short Halloween stories, which all occur in the same town. Other than a few cute plot twists, the majority of the film is comprised of really old horror stereotypes. The acting was also almost uniformly mediocre, with the exception of Brian Cox, who was great. I think the saddest part is that this is likely one of the better Halloween films in quite a long time.
