this and that
We went on a tour of a few homes today with the realtors. While none of the homes was noteworthy (they ranged from major-fixer-uppers to scary neighbohoods), what was notable was the car. The realtors owned one of those pricey Mercedes Benz SUV's. David, Denise & I were in the back seat. Now, I had always thought that SUVs, and certainly those as expensive as from Mercedes, would be very roomy, comfortable and fancy inside. This was, by far, the most cramped, uncomfortable vehicle i've been inside of in a long time. It was horrible. Why would any fool pay upwards of \$50k for a vehicle that can't even seat 5 people comfortably? OK, scratch that, some sports cars seat two, and cost 6 figures, but an SUV certainly should seat a bare minimum of 5 people comfortably. Denise's realtively tiny VW Golf has more leg room in the backseat than this pathetic SUV. It just boggles my mind.
In other news, I've made some more progress with the TV tuner/capture card. I got audio working today after going to Walmart (and feeling dirty all over) to pick up an RCA to 3.5mm audio jack converter. I just now need to get recording/encoding sorted out, and i'll be all set.
