its over
It was fun while it lasted, but my xmas week vacation is officially over. Overall it was a really nice week. A got alot accomplished, and also got to relax too.
This morning, I took the Passat in for its 30k mile service. It took 2 hours of sitting around the dealer for them to basically perform an oil change and inspect a few components, all to the tune of \$160.
After that, we went down to the Grocery Outlet in Livermore for some cheap groceries. After that, we went to TJMax for Denise to spend the gift card I got her for Chanukah. And finally, after that, we drove up to Whole Foods for me to spend the gift cards I got. I got alot of really great food porn. I got a half pound each of thai peanut chicken sausage and lamb feta sausage. I then got 7 kinds of funky gourmet cheeses (gouda parrano, English Cotswold, Vermont Grafton Smoked Cheddar, Dutch Leerdammer Swiss, and a few others.) . I also got some marinated cherry peppers, a greek pastry thingamabob (spanakopita), smoked mozarella pasta salad, squash apple soup, mozzarella-tomato pizza, & salmon avacado sushi. I ate the soup for lunch, and it was incredibly delicious. I also sampled little bits of all the cheeses.
