its back!
Just when we thought that the the smoke alarm saga was over, it came back last night. At midnight the damn thing started beeping again. I went through the ritual of resetting it, and it remained quiet until 1:30AM. At that point Denise called the emergency maintanence phone number, and the same guy came out again. Apparently there aren't 4 smoke detectors in the apartment, there are 5(!?). In a stroke of utter stupidity, there's another one in the den, less than 6ft away from the one directly outside of our bedroom. Its a mystery how we never noticed it before, but its downright irritating that the maintanence guy somehow forget that it existed the previous 3 times he's been here to deal with this fiasco.
I watched Keep Your Distance tonight. The beginning was really confusing. They dump you into a plot without any background. In hindsight, I think it could have been better handled. Overall, the film wasn't bad, although there were elements that made no sense, or seemed completely unneccesary to the overall plot.
