friday!!!
Woo-hoo, i get to work from home every other Friday from now on (including today). It was nice not having to fight traffic, and I was just about as productive at home, as I would have been in the office.
I actually made a breakthrough yesterday in my quest to create a SourceForge bootable CD. I finally got it to boot, although there were some quirks that I still have to work out. Namely, the kernel wasn't compiled with a large enough default ram disk, so it required a boot time option, X was failing to start, and i couldn't login as root. I built a new kernel yesterday with a large default ram disk, so i think that's taken care of. I think i just need to reconfigure X for the correct videodriver, so that should be simple enough. I'm not sure about the failed logins though, but i've changed root so that it has no password, which will hopefully let me login. I guess next week i'll hammer away at them.
