craptastic

Today has just not been a good day. Alot of little things have just combined to be frustrating. First, Half Life 2, which had been working fairly smoothly in Cedega for a few weeks now just died last night. I had made it up to the "Benefactors" chapter when I started getting all kinds of crazy corruption resulting in the game hanging. Now the game doesn't even load any more, but instead bombs out with the errors:
wineserver: not enough memory for allocation of 74887171 bytes
start=0x90001000 present=0x9013e3ab total=0x406eae
wineserver: sema acquire fail : Invalid argument
wineserver: sema acquire fail : Invalid argument
I'm not really sure what to do about this, as others were running into this about a year ago, but its supposedly fixed since then.
After some thought, I decided to defer my jury duty until April 20. Alameda county actually allows people to defer their service for 6 weeks to 6 months from their report date. My concern is that I'd end up getting called in for a trial that would drag on for weeks, and as a result, I wouldn't be able to go on the vacation that we're planning for the last week in March. So i've delayed in the inevitable, but I still think jury duty is a stupid waste of time, and there's no way that i'll be convinced that forcing people to serve time results in a fair & impartial jury.
Last night I agreed to clean up a bit in the den area around the computer to free up some space for Denise's stuff. This ended up sucking up nearly 2 hours of my day, and left me exhausted and stressed.
And to top all of that off, I've been just kinda blah today for no good reason. I woke up in a bad mood, and I have no idea why.
