bigger, faster, stronger

We watched Bigger, Faster, Stronger tonight. Its a documentary that explores America's fascination with (anabolic) steroids. However, it has a weird twist, in that the guy who made the film has two brothers who are/were currently taking steroids. The first half of the film was a bit on the slow side, and not altogether focused, however the second half was well organized and rather entertaining. The driving premise is that Americans are basically tricked into using steroids so that they can be like their heroes, even though their heroes are basically a bunch of frauds (professional wrestlers, body builders, models, sports icons, etc). I'm not too sure that I agree with this theory, but then again, I didn't grow up wanting to emulate (much less watch) WWF wrestling, or sports in general.
