ugh, i'm sick
I'm coming down with an icky cold. Last night, when i was awakened by the storm (yes, there was a real, bonafied thunderstorm last night, but more on that later) just before midnight, my throat felt all goopy. You know, that feeling it gets right before you get sick when you can't seem to swallow that lump of phlegm no matter how hard you try? Anyway, it started last night, and by the time I woke up this morning, i felt like crap. My left nostril has been running off & on all day, although thankfully the right has remained free & clear. My stomach has been mildly upset too. Not enough that I can't keep food down, but enough that I am aware of it not feeling well, and that food is moving through me faster than it should (if you catch my drift). I think i'm going to take one of those little red pills tonight before going to bed so that my sinuses stay clear while i go to sleep.
So yes, last night there was a huge thunderstorm. It started off as dry lightening with thunder. And this was huge bolts of lightening, in jagged lines coming down both vertically and horizontally in the sky. Apparently a few brush fires were started. The street lamps actually flickered off on a few occasions, but our power never was out (thankfully). After about an hour, it started to rain. Lightly at first, but then a downpour for about 10 minutes. Overall the thunder & lightening lasted until just before 2AM. The rain was off and on until mid morning.
Hrmm, other than that, Denise's parents are still here. We went to In-N-Out Burger for dinner tonight. It was delicious.
