tropic thunder

I saw Tropic Thunder tonight. Words fail me on how appropriately describe this film. Its not quite a comedy, but not quite a drama, and not quite an action flick either. It is rather odd, but strangely amusing all at once. Tom Cruise was awesome. Jack Black was Jack Black, turned up to 11, as always. The rest of the cast wasn't anything special. The plot is basically a bunch of fictitious hollywood stars who start off making a film about the vietnam war, but then end up fighting with some drug dealers in some southeast asian country. It just got more bizarre from there.
