the three burials of melquiades estrada
Tonight, I watched The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, which was a modern day western set in a Texas border town, where a lazy border patrol agent accidentally kills a Mexican born ranch hand, and the resulting fallout. It was surprisingly good. Not that I expected it to suck, but alot of Tommy Lee Jones' work has been either really horrible, or really good, and its never clear which way its going to turn out. The first third of the film was a bit confusing, as there were different plot lines running in parallel, and they weren't even in chronological order. However, the ambiguity actually works in its favor, and pulls people into the story.
