the finger
My finger is doing ok, i guess. Its had some very minor bleeding over the past 24 hours (a few tiny spots of blood on the bandaid), but other than that, it seems to be ok. Earlier this morning I made the mistake of accidentally trying to bend the finger, and immediately felt a sharp throbbing pain. We made an effort to more rigorously clean the wound area with hydrogen peroxide, mostly to get rid off alot of the accumulated dried blood, and it looks alot better. There's a decent sized chunk of dead skin on both sides of the cut. There's also a creepy looking purple spot just above the cut, yet under the skin, which we're assuming is blood under the skin, or perhaps bruising, which we're going to closely watch to make sure doesn't grow in size. At this point, I'm just hoping that it heals sufficiently enough by mid-week that I can attempt to bend my finger, or at least type with it.
