thanksgiving
I made my cranberry apple pie last night. I deviated slightly from the standard recipe (cranberries, apples, sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt), and also added about a tablespoon of Merlot. I figured it would add to the deep crimson coloring of the pie, and add a hint of flavor. I had a small piece this morning with lunch, and it turned out really well.
David actually slept in a bit today (8AM), but i woke up just after 6 for no particular reason.
I'm still seeing lockups while using mozilla. I grabbed the latest nightly build (went from 1.5 to build 20031125), so maybe this will do the trick. Or the mobo on my box is borked, and in that case, i'm just screwed.
Mmmmmm, the smell of turkey is in the air. Denise does make really yummy stuffing. We picked up 1.5lbs of Whole Foods Chicken Lemon Garlic sausage, and added it to the bread stuffing. That's something I always never understood. Why do some people call stuffing 'dressing'? Makes no sense to me. Things i think about.
Tomorrow I'll be fighting the crowds to do my holiday shopping. I'm hoping to be inspired by something really spiffy for Denise. She keeps dropping hints about how she made sure to have everyone get me all kinds of amazing things. I don't want to let her down with just the stuff on the list that she gave me. I'm not even bad at shopping, but the bulk of the stuff on her list is mostly food/alcohol, which leaves little to the imagination. Plus, i'm much better at shopping online, and its stupid & overly-expensive to order food online.
