I saw the documentary, Taxi to the Dark Side tonight. This film is likely the most comprehensive treatment of the military's torture of prisoners in Afghanistan, Iraq & Guantanamo. Almost entirely through first person interviews, they documented how torture was not only permitted, by actively encouraged from the highest levels of the government & military. Its unfortunate that there are still many detractors who continue to attempt to justify torture as necessary, when the reality are numerous documented instances where it fails to accomplish anything productive.
