taking chance & gigantic

I watched Taking Chance tonight, which told the (based on a true) story of the Marine who volunteered to escort the diseased Iraqi solider back to his family. Overall, I liked it alot. It was fairly contemplative, and Kevin Bacon did an excellent job portraying the internal pain conflicted with the need to put forth a stoic front for those he encounters along the way.
Afterwards, I saw Gigantic. I'm still not entirely sure what this was about. It was really bizarre. This matress salesman falls in love with the daughter of an eccentric wealthy guy, all while he's trying to adopt a Chinese orphan. Yes, it really made that much sense. It wasn't bad, but at the same time, there was alot that made very little sense to me.
