starting anew
I don't do new year's resolutions. I find them to be silly & pointless. Why does one need a new year to change one's behavior? If something is that important that it requires change, then start doing it NOW, not on January 1. Also there's the issue that most people never stick to their resolutions past the first few weeks.
That said, i'm going to try to get into better shape this year. I don't mean any crazed exercise routine. I don't have the time or the dedication to pull that off. But I will make an attempt to put in 20-30 minutes/day of some kind of physical activity. I tried this back in 2002, and I stuck to it for a large chunk of the year, but I kinda gave up last year when stress and frustration in other areas of my life just burnt away my resolve to care.
Right now i'm batting two ideas around in my head. Either I'll run around the block, literally, or i might start using an exercise bike. I really hate running, cause it just does horrid things to one's legs, feet & back, but at the same time its more of a full body workout than just sitting on a bike. So i might end up mixing it up between the two depending on my mood.
On another topic, i broke open the caviar today. I made a fairly tasty omlet with caviar and swiss cheese. I even put a little bit of caviar into David's omlet, but it was mostly pinto beans and swiss cheese.
Last night I watched Hotel Rwanda. It was quite good, and opened my eyes to alot more of what tranpired in Rwanda back in 1994. Don Cheadle did an amazing job, especially considering how he's played small, pointless roles in just about everything I've seen him in before this movie.
