southland tales

I watched Southland Tales tonight. I have absolutely no clue what happened in this movie. I don't think that there was any part that made any sense whatsoever. The closest thing to an explanation that I could find was here but even that was ridiculously convoluted. I guess it makes sense that it was written by the same guy who did Donnie Darko (which was also a confusing flim, but at least most of it made sense, and the parts that didn't were mostly coherent after reading the explanation). Also, what's with the team of ex-SNL cast members?
