make way for ducklings

This morning as I'm driving to work down I680, all the traffic is suddenly backed up. I'm really getting annoyed, thinking that there's some miserable accident ahead. Turns out that this duck and her ducklings wanted to walk across the highway. It was both cute and annoying at the same time, because the stupid mother duck crossed over to the median where there's a huge concrete barrier. So i'm not at all sure where she thinks she's going to go next, other than walk down the median of the 6 lane highway for a few miles.
Beyond that, I got a bit of good news today, as the autoshop told us that the car is definitely not totalled.
Also, we've had TWO days of sun in a row. That is a record that goes back to February.
