lurching towards the escape hatch

This (mini) week sucked. Work was a smattering of frustration and incompetance layered in stupidity. Even though I worked from home today, I was so much less productive than I hoped i'd be.
Today I got a jury duty summons for December 20. I don't know why they keep harassing me, as this makes the third summons that i've gotten in the 3.5 years i've lived out here. I've managed to barely escape the last two, but i think my luck is going to run out and i'll get stuck with jury duty.
I'm hoping for a relaxing long weekend. I really need a relaxing long weekend. I really, really need a relaxing long weekend.
