King of California

I watched King of California tonight. It was a really cute, very quirky film. The gist is that Michael Douglas's character is this bipolar nutjob, who has this delusion of finding the buried gold of a 17th century Spanish settler (of California), based on his diaries. The entire film is held together by Michael Douglas & Evan Rachael Wood, and they made a fine father-daughter team. The ending is a bit bittersweet, but still, this was a nice gem of a film that got very little press.
