HL2.2

I completed playing Half Life 2 - Episode 2 this afternoon. I started it about 3 weekends ago (and played mostly on weekends), so it was prolly about 8-10 hours of game time for me. Overall, I wasn't nearly as enthralled as with the previous HL2 releases. I like the game for the battle scenes, and this one was sorely lacking for the most part. Other than one nice segment about 3/4 of the way through, and another nearly before the end, it was alot of boring wondering around through underground tunnels, and bumbling through the woods. To make matters worse, their attempt at creating a cliffhanger ending was horrible. Add to this, their move at killing off a semi-major character would have been interesting, had this character really proven to be critical to the plot, but this character wasn't (in my opinion). If I have any praise, its that this is the first Half Life release that I could play directly out of wine (no cedega needed).
Supposedly, Valve is going to wrap the entire thing up in Episode 3. Hopefully they answer all of the pending questions (exactly who are the Combine? Who is the G-man? etc).
