Janghwa, Hongryeon
Last night, we watchewd A Tale of Two Sisters, a Korean quasi horror psychological thriller film about deaths & guilt in a family. The film starts off really slowly, and for while I was really wondering if it was ever going to show some plot development. However, about 2/3 of the way through there is a huge plot twist that turns the entire thing on its head. At that point, everything that happened before is much more relevant, and everything afterwords is this twisted mind game with the audience. I liked this film alot, however the brief horror sequences were really unnecessary, as the psychological aspects were more than sufficient. I've watched quite a few Korean films over the past year, and they've all been uniformly well done.
