in the valley of elah

I saw In the Valley of Elah tonight. It was a really well done film. I'm puzzled why it got panned by many critics, as the story was solid, as was the acting. Tommy Lee Jones really is an amazing actor. Its sad that he's continually stereotyped into roles with a redneck background.
