We're currently enduring the 2nd big heatwave of the year (the first was before Memorial Day weekend, back in May). Its been over 100F since Monday, and isn't supposed to call off til Saturday. One thing that seems to be loving the weather is our fruit trees. The apricot tree has about 100% ripe, and has been dropping fruit on the ground for days. The nectarine tree is going to start ripening within the next week or so. We picked one nectarine today just to sample, and while it wasn't completely ripe, it was still really tasty. The peach tree still has a few more weeks to go, but its starting to look good.
