I watched The New World tonight. I've got mixed feelings about it. The cinematography was incredibly well done, and the score was quirky, yet appropriate. But I just had a hard time caring about the characters. They were just tossed from one thing to the next, and for some bizarro reason the narration that each did was supposed to substitute for actual character development, but failed in my opinion.
