day in the city

I had to go into the city today for the lame sales conference (euphamistically termed the "Field Operations Conference"). I took BART to the Montgomery station, and then walked the 9 blocks (about half up hill) to the hotel. It was a nice hotel, on the southwest corner of California & Powell. For the most part the meeting was boring. Various sales drones rattled on about their activities for the quarter that ended last month, and their plans for the current & next quarters. There were occasionally bits of wisdom, but overall it was boring. I did get a free lunch out of it.
Tomorrow I have to give a presentation about Support.
