Another week from hell. The first of two people left on Thursday, and he left behind a huge mess. Most of it was unfinished work & undocumented projects. The crowning achievement however was the complete lack of backups on production servers that held customer data. Also, the work load last week gradually increased from one day to the next. We did hire the first replacement person, and he starts on the 22nd. We're flying in a friend from Ohio on Tuesday to interview for the 2nd open position.
I also got my anual raise on Friday. 6%, which isn't bad, i guess. Last year i got 5%. I'm also supposedly getting some kind of bonus on Monday.
Its been a bit warmer than normal lately(above 100F for the past 3 days). Autumn? What Autumn??
