In case its not been well advertised outside of the bay area, San Francisco has been providing marriage ceremonies for gay couples since February 12. Unsurprisingly, all of the religious zealots are throwing fits, because it threatens their narrow minded view of the world. Personally, I think its an amazing thing, and it should continue unabated. So far it appears to be holding up to the quick & dirty legal challenges that have arisen. Equally unsurprising is that our president is against the marriages due to his narrow minded view that a marriage must be between a man and a woman. Rather sickening how the man who is supposed to represent & unite Americans is further dividing them. But hat seems to be one of Bush's few talents. At any rate, this site took a large number of photos of the ongoing event. Some are sweet, some touching, some wacky, some are quite honestly frightening. But they're all amazing. I'm sure that the narrow minded bigots of the world will continue to condemn that which they fail to understand, or fear. Hopefully justice prevails. Letting people who love eachother, and are committed to eachother get married is the right thing to do. And it doesn't hurt anyone.
