3:10 to Yuma

Last night, I watched 3:10 to Yuma. I had high expectations. Most of the reviews talked about how it was one of the finest westerns in years. I found it boring, plodding & predictable. The acting was amatuerish at times. Russell Crowe looked bored & amused through much of the film. Christian Bale, however did a fine job (and seems to do a stellar job in just about every film). The scenery was nice, when they actually made use of it (which wasn't nearly often enough). Anyway, the gist of the film was how a broke Arizona rancher risks his life to deliver a captured criminal to justice.
