I finally conquered the miserable hardware. Thanks go to Adaptec's tech support who pointed me in the right direction. No thanks whatsoever to Monarch Computers, who hadn't a clue and still haven't returned my call. The problem was fixed by moving the SCSI RAID controller card from the 64bit PCI slot to the 32bit PCI slot. Of course i'm taking a performance hit as a result, so i'm not done with Monarch. But at least i've now been able to load RHES-3.0 on an XFS filesystem.
Beyond that it was a rather uneventful day. I uploaded alot of pictures over the past few days. Denise took David to Happy Hollow yesterday, and he had a great time.
