I watched Tsotsi tonight. I honestly didn't know much about this film other than it had won the Oscar for best foreign film. I've read about some people comparing it to City of God, and I can certainly see some definite parallels. It was really well done throughout. I don't think I've seen any South African films before, and this one, if remotely accurate, sheds light on how little has changed since aparthied ended. Also the soundtrack was excellent.
