I watched Beowulf and Grendel tonight. I liked it alot. They did a great job modernizing the dialogue for an ancient tale, set in 500AD. The special effects, added to the story, rather than detracting, and the acting was extremely well done by a European cast. The cinematography was also excellent, and really highlighted the Scandinavian geography.
