so little time
This was a pretty good week. Sure, I can think of ways it could have been better, but overall it was pretty good, and significantly better than last week.
I've got two projects, I want to work on sooner rather than later. The first is upgrading all of the boxes at home from FC3 to FC4. I've got 4 total, and my primary box will likely be the last one for a number of reasons (can't afford the down time, if there are problems, I want to know about them with the other boxes, etc).
The second project is to get my (quasi) new TV tuner card working. I got it earlier this week, and this will likely make a good project to do immediately after the FC4 upgrade, but perhaps not. I'm half thinking of throwing the card into a box that is currently sitting idle just so that I can work on it sooner.
I've currently got about 225GB of storage in my primary box, which isn't very much anymore these days. At this moment, I've used about 85% of it across 3 SCSI disks and 1 IDE. With plans to convert alot of VHS to digital with the TV card, I really do need more, so I might be purchasing a new HD soon too.
Tomorrow morning, we've got an appointment at the bank to try and get a better idea of how much house we can afford. I tried to do it over the phone earlier this week, and it didn't go well. I was given insultingly low numbers, which makes little sense around here considering how the average home price is about half a million dollars. So either we're in for a rude awakening tomorrow, or good news.
Denise has started toilet training David, and overall its going well. She had a really great idea to force him to not wear a diaper during daylight hours when he's home, so that he's fully aware of the repurcussions. So far its working well.
