SNOW!

Last night I watched Miller's Crossing. Overall, it was a huge disapointment. All the reviews kept saying how it was one of the Coen brother's best films, yet I found it to be one of, it not the, worst. It took forever for any real plot development, and it was formulaic & predictable for the most part.
This morning, David & I drove up to Mount Diablo. I ended up scrapping the idea to drive to Tahoe, because I feared that we'd drive for 2 or more hours only to have to turn back to do chain restrictions. We had a really good time. There was actual real snow! We started off hiking a bit below the snow line. Then as we got around the 2000ft level, we started to see traces of snow along the road, and David got very excited. He had played in snow once before when he was about 18 months old, but he doesn't remember it. When we got to the 3000ft level, park rangers had closed the road, and there was about an inch of snow on all the grassy surfaces. David was really excited, and kept talking about wanting to build a snowman. There really wasn't sufficient snow for that, but he had alot of fun all the same. He was stomping in the snow, kicking the snow, and throwing it around.
