snow!!!!!!!

As I'm driving home today, there are these massive dark, ominous storm clouds on the horizon, and I'm thinking it will prolly rain at some point. When I'm about half way home, I start driving into this storm, while there is bright sunshine behind me. So its raining pretty hard, and all of the wussy california native drivers are slamming on their breaks and freaking out, as they always do whenever its not sunshine. We're crawling along the highway at around 20MPH when I notice that the rain is getting chunky. Those chunks are ice!?!? It was sleeting, and I noticed that the temperature outside had dropped 20 degrees from what it was when i left work from 67F to 47F. Driving a bit further I look around a bit, and see fairly sizable chunks of ice piled up on the shoulder, and even in between the lanes of the highway, and the grass is actually coated in ice too. This was so surreal, seeing as how there's never been frozen precipitation during the 3.5 years we've been living here. By the time I got home it was just light rain, but it was still chilly outside.
Earlier today we took David to the pediatrician to have his speach evaluated again. He's still behind where he should be, but he's made progress. The recommendation was that he continue speach therapy with the a therapist, and also get involved in some kind of playgroup with other children his own age.
