Last night we watched the latest episode of The 4400, and the series finale of Six Feet Under.
The 4400 has degenerated into crap for the most part. I was never overly crazy about it, but its just gotten mired in a contrived mess or unrealistic situations that I'm having great difficulty suspending disbelief over for 42 minutes each week. But I digress from the real reason I'm writing here.
Six Feet Under. Oh your god. I don't typically wax poetic over a TV show, however the finale was nothing short of amazing in my opinion. Alan Ball somehow managed to take the best attributes of the show over 5 seasons and condense them into 68 minutes of quality TV. Denise has never been terribly fond of this show, but I've always liked it because of its quirky, surreal nature, and the unique characters who were well fleshed out and three dimensional. The last few minutes were a bit overwhelming for me. I think it was just a huge amount of information combined with alot of emotionally rough material coming across all at once.
