relearning

Its been about a week since I cut my finger. Thankfully, it appears to be healing without any complications (at least so far). Because the cut was with such a sharp blade, its a very small, yet deep wound, and closed up fairly nicely. At this point, it basically just looks like this thin, half-inch long purple line. I plan to get it wet/washed in the shower for the first time tomorrow. Thus far, I've just held my hand above my head to keep it from getting wet. I also haven't been able to attempt to bend my finger without feeling a sharp, stabbing pain along with a tearing sensation. This part isn't altogether surprising, since the cut was rather deep, and I didn't expect that it would have healed this quickly. Anyway, what has been surprising is that in basically 5 days, I've managed to teach myself how to type reasonably well with 9 fingers. I'm not quite as fast or as accurate as I was/am with all 10, but I'm fairly close. Not that I really want to, but if I kept at this for another week, I'd prolly be pretty damn close to full speed & accuracy with the 9.
