rc.local

Today, I discovered that Mac OSX (Leopard/10.5) actually supports /etc/rc.local even though its seemingly completely undocumented. I really wanted a simple solution for having some scripts run whenever a system was booting up. Apple's launchd is a huge, flaming pile of turds which doesn't work right for my purposes, and is ridiculously over complex for the purpose that it solves. So I googled a bit, and stumbled across a forum thread where some folks commented that rc.local does work even though Apple pretends like it doesn't exist.
Sometimes, if it wasn't for Windows, I'd hate OSX alot.
