Peur(s) du noir

I watched Peur(s) du noir(Fears of the Dark) tonight. Its a French film composed of several animated short horror stories around the central theme of bad things happening to people in the dark. First off, the animation was nothing short of amazing. Nearly the entire thing is in black & white, yet they did a stellar job creating engrossing, highly detailed environments. The stories ranged from bizarre to boring to genuinely creepy. While there is some occasional dialogue (yes, in French, suck it up), most of the film is unspoken, and has a very original and disturbing score. Seriously, this film is quite unlike anything I've seen in a very long time, and is both thought provoking and entertaining all at once.
