looking at more houses.
House hunting on Saturday with the new realtor actually went fairly well. The female half of this realtor is basically a cheerleader. She's nice, but she just would not stop talking for 10 seconds. We saw two homes and a few townhomes. Denise liked a few of the townhomes, but I wasn't terribly excited by any of them. We liked the first house, and absolutely loved the 2nd house. The problem is that the second house was at the extreme upper end of our pricerange, and the neighborhood was semi-scary, but oh my gawd was it gorgeous. Spanish style architecture, and meticulously restored. So we've decided that we want to put in an offer for the first house. Its actually a decent house in a decent neighborhood in San Jose, and has a bunch of lime, lemon, persimmon & peach trees in the back yard. Right now the big problem with the new realtor is that only the guy writes offers, so alot of the time we spent with the woman yesterday was, while not pointless, not terribly useful because she can't write an offer for us. This wouldn't be too bad except that the guy is on vacation with his family, and doesn't return until tonight, so we're having to jump through stupid hoops to get this offer put together before wednesday (when the offers are due for the house we want).
Beyond the weekly house hunt, not much else exciting happened this weekend.
