In other news, Session Saver had been acting really crazy for the past few weeks. Basically, every time I'd load a page, or open a new tab in firefox, the CPU would get pegged hard for 2-5 seconds (and firefox would freeze during the time). I was reaching the point where I was seriously considering disabling session saver altogether. Then 5 minutes, firefox hung completely, and I had to kill the process. Now the problem is completely gone. My only guess is that session saver was saving more than just the session (or not purging old sessions). That's just a guess based on absolutely nothing at all, but it serves my purposes.
