We watched Pan's Labyrinth last night. Overall, I think I had higher expectations, and it didn't live up to them. The plot wasn't all that complex, and at times was rather predictable. What surprised me the most was how gory the film was, rather than being frightening (especially since it was being marketed as a fantasy/horror film).
