floods & plagues

Our dishwasher (which we inherited with the house) is dying a slow & painful death. Its had a small leak for a few months, but about 2 weeks ago, it started making grinding noises whenever it was running. Then, earlier this week, it started leaking like crazy. Like half the kitchen floor was flooded. This dishwasher is old. Like 10+ years old, so I can't say that I'm surprised, but at the same time, its a huge pain. So now we have to find a new dishwasher real-soon.
To make matters more interesting, David appears to have caught the chicken pox. He's got a nice assortment of tiny red spots over much of his chest, shoulders & neck. At this point he appears to feel fine, but its just a matter of time before it gets icky.
