Encounters at the End of the World

I had the true pleasure of watching Encounters at the End of the World tonight. This excellent documentary examines what its like to live in Antarctica. They talked with the scientists, and the support personnel, to provide a rare glimpse into what life is like in such a unique place. This was not a nature film by any means. While there was some coverage of the flora and fauna, it wasn't the focus, and that was fine with me. No cuddly shots of penguins here. Just mundane, and amazing footage of life in a remote, frozen place that few ever will experience.
