changeling

Last night, we watched Changeling. At 2 hours and 17 minutes, the film was long, and felt like it. I wish I could say that there was alot of material, but it was really about 30 minutes of material drawn out to 137 minutes. To make matters worse, the most interesting characters had bit parts, and the Angelina Jolie's character was boring. Really, really boring. Her son is kidnapped early in the film, yet her reaction is muted at best. She does some wimpering crying, she's angry on a few random occasions, but mostly, she acts as if she's accepted this, even though the plot strongly forces the fact that she hasn't.
