busy
I started loading all the Os and 1s on the new computer on Friday night. Because i was impatient, I ended up loading Fedora Core 2-test1 rather than waiting until the 18th for the final release of FC2. No big problems loading the OS. I then spent overnight on friday/saturday downloading about 900MB of updated packages to bring me to near equivalency with FC2(-final). Amazingly it went fairly smoothly. The only hiccup was that I lost the mouse because apparently something in the 2.6.x kernel or X, as both got upgrades in during the process. Fixed it by changing the mouse device in /etc/X11/XF86Config from /dev/psaux to /dev/input/mice.
On Friday night I watched The Cooler. It had a decent premise, but got really stupid towards the end.
Yesterday was David's birthday. He got a nice assortment of Fisher Price playsets that he really seems to love. Denise also made him a really nice cake with railroad tracks made of icing, and a train.
