I watched Brick tonight. This film was really and truly messed up. They took a relatively ordinary concept of drug dealers, and love triangles and set the entire thing amongst teenagers in high school. All the while I'm thinking, teenagers could certainly pull this behavior off, and then I'm thinking, this is entirely too brutal, perverse & twisted to happen amongst anyone but the most hardened criminals. I know that there were a few gangsters in my highschool, but I doubt anything along these lines as murders. Anyway, I think I liked it, but I'll need to churn it about for a bit.
